What do we do?
Hell’s Addiction deliver classic no-bullshit Rock and Roll in a style that draws comparison with the likes of AC/DC, Guns ‘n Roses, Skid Row and Mötley Crüe.
The band came together in 2010 in Leicester, born of a mutual passion for the hard-hitting rock of the great 70s and 80s bands.
Building on the band’s powerhouse live performances and loyal fanbase, Hell’s Addiction self-released two killer singles: ‘Alcohol’ and ‘Let The Good Times Roll’. These tracks, along with their respective YouTube videos, generated a huge amount of interest in the band and several offers from record labels. In 2012 the band signed to EIA Records.
The album ‘Raise Your Glass’ was mastered by Pete Maher (U2, Killers, Jack White), and released in February 2013. Hell’s Addiction’s hard-hitting approach to the classic rock sound went down a storm, gathering great reviews from both sides of The Atlantic.
In 2015 the band signed a deal with TBFM Records & Management and started plans on a new album. Since then the band have been booked to play many festivals including Upload Fest, Redemption, SOSFest, Breaking Bands Festival, Wildfire Festival and most recently invited to open Download Festival. The festival dates fit in nicely as the band were invited to play the Breaking Boundaries tour.
The band got to the quarter final stages of this years Metal 2 The Masses competition in Leicester alongside some very good bands.
The new album ‘Broken’ announced for release 2nd July 2016 which has already attracted airplay on Kerrang! Radio with Johnny Doom describing the band as having ‘the AC/DC swagger’. A launch party for the second album is set for 23rd July at The Firebug in Leicester with support bands to be announced.
Several festival slots have already been confirmed for 2017 and a second tour planned for the Autumn of 2016. A video is also set for release later in the year.
Who are our influences?
AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, W.A.S.P. Tesla, Led Zeppelin, Airbourne, Hardcore Superstar, Free, Queen, The Darkness, Skid Row and a shitload more!
A perfect storm is both beautiful and destructive. It develops steadily over time and often shifts through many mutations before achieving a perfect state. In many ways, Breakage Rising is a combination of styles, ideas, and inspirations that collectively form a beautifully deadly mix of aggression and emotion. The band is more than just a sum of the individual pieces; all five members have varied backgrounds and lend a unique twist to Breakage Risings ever-changing core. Formed in 2003, the band has undergone a number of member and style changes before coming together as a hard-hitting contemporary rock band with a focus on technical musicality, solid grooves, and emotionally-charged lyrics. Frontman Matt Hunter prowls the stage like a barely-caged animal, ready to pounce, yet wears his heart on his sleeve. Lead guitarist Sonny Angell is a virtuoso soloist and master songwriter, and is the elder statesman of the group. Rhythm guitarist Klyph delivers the energy and excitement of the bands live show through his domineering presence. Bassist Chris DAlessio, a classically trained multi-musician, and drummer Dan Mintzer, with over a decade of professional experience, are the glue that holds the whole group together. Together, the members of Breakage Rising form a cohesive unit focused on delivering an engaging and exciting new take on contemporary hard rock. They recently channeled their efforts into recording and releasing their independent debut album, Phoenix Ashes, a not-so-subtle nod to their recent rebirth from the ashes like the mythical phoenix. Look for Phoenix Ashes on iTunes and follow the band on their Facebook page and their official website, www.breakagerising.com.
