3 Pill Morning: Revolution
Hailing from Minneapolis comes four young gentlemen whose only mission is to make music and have a wild time doing so. 3 Pill Morning’s songs have a fairly smooth flow within their verse-chorus structure, particularly in their song “Revolution” off of their debut album, Black Tie Love Affair. Beginning with a sample of marching soldiers, the guitars barrel in seemingly simple, yet with an anthem-like quality that hooks even a seasoned hard rock enthusiast. The drumming is heavy, yet not overpowering, and the bass blends in with the six-strings’ low end perfectly. Lyrically, as its title suggests, it is about not being idle in a world decaying around us and taking a true stand against corruption. While not as fervent as other songs about fighting back, its straightforwardness catches the ear and you may find yourself raising a fist to the gang shouts lining the refrain.
3 Pill Morning certainly have a long road ahead of them, but they also have come just as far in their musical journey. Never compromising on their values, they remain dedicated to their fans and having recently toured with big names like Sevendust, and In This Moment, these four men will soon have their big breakout.
